meebee makes meeting easy. It’s a fun, new and simple meeting organizer. It takes the hassle out of arranging to meet with your friends. It’s like having your very own online personal assistant to arrange meetings with your friends.

When you normally arrange a meeting with your friend, you don’t know their schedule. So you usually go back and forth, back and forth, until you finally arrange a time to meet, or never get round to organizing the meet at all. meebee takes this hassle of arranging meetings, and makes it simple and easy.

Right now meebee is in Beeta phase (ha get it, Bees) and you can use Gmail, yahoo and hotmail accounts.
You can also sync with iCal.

HOWEVER, we plan for full syncing with Outlook Calendar and Google Calendar and all your different email accounts.

BUT what we are really excited about is being able to contact you via some social networking sites and even on your phone about meetings. Along with an iPhone App, we are wanting to make the hassle of arranging a meet with friends easy, by updating you with the apps you already use, and when you use them.

Like most new sites, meebee has to start out in a Beta stage (we call it Beeta). In this stage, we are still making small changes to the site and making sure that the functionality is correct and the site is working how we intended.

Basically a Beta release/stage is meant so we can thoroughly test the site and let our new users give us feedback on the site, so we can make quick improvements and fix any small bugs – meebee really hates bugs!

Beta releases can run from weeks to months. We plan meebee to be in Beeta stage until the bugs have been fully exterminated….so hopefully not too long.
During this time, we are asking everyone to help me catch and exterminate bugs. For catching the most bugs like the Ghost-busters, you could win some cool new meebee merchandise.

Right now you can only sync iCal. Its easy to sync your iCal schedule with meebee.

iCal: go to your profile – settings – account settings – calendars – select iCal icon – click Sync. You can choose which meebee profile you want your iCal schedule to sync with too. Just choose from the drop down menu.
Follow the instructions that pop up. It involves subscribing to a remote calendar and then publishing the calendar to meebee.
Its really simple, just follow the steps and make sure you use the exact URL in the pop-up (that is your very own meebee account URL for syncing)

Once you have done this, your calendar info will be shown on your meebee user account homepage.

As meebee is in Beeta stage, you are contacted via email. We plan to introduce new features, where you can be contacted via your cell phone and some social networking sites. So YOU can choose how best meebee will contact you

Basically, you will receive an email message when:

1 – A friend has replied to your meeting request.

2 – A friend wants to have a meeting with you.

3 – You need to confirm a meeting that meebee has arranged for you.

Or, you can just check your bee-mail which can be accessed from your User account homepage. Here all your meetings are listed out, and you can confirm meetings or make more changes if you want.

Nope, meebee is free.
In the future, we plan to offer a Premium service which will be user pays, so as to maintain the hive and keep our worker bees full with honey!

Yes, meebee understands that we humans live interesting and colorful lives. We have different friends in different social circles. You have work colleagues, friends from school or university, friends from back home, buddies you go out with, mates you attend events with etc. We humans have different social circles and most of the time, don’t want those social circles mixing.

That’s why meebee has 3 distinct PROFILES: Friends, Business, and Events.
You choose which Profile you want to create meetings with. SO your work or business life is separate to your personal social fiends and is also separate to those you attend events with (maybe buddies you watch sport with or even your family: birthdays, special holidays etc).
And most importantly your different profiles won’t ever mix with each other.

As meebee is in Beeta, we are still making changes and introducing updates. The Events profile functionality, where you can easily organize group get-togethers, will be up and buzzing soon. Right now, Friends and Business profiles are functioning properly.

Yes your right, your personal calendar is the focus of meebee. BUT you have the power to CONTROL who sees what information of yours. No one can see into your account and into your meeting calendar. Remember with meebee, YOU have the power! Just go into settings and update your Privacy settings.

At present you can only invite Max 3 friends to a meeting.
Our worker bees are working on, increasing this number. When the Events profile is functioning, you will be able to make events with any number of people.

Well meebee will contact your friend(s) and see if they agree with your meeting times. If your friends are meebee Users and have their calendar synced to meebee, then meebee will sync with your friends calendar and tell your friends automatically if they can attend your proposed meeting.

If your friend agrees, then hooray – we can confirm a meeting.

If your friend doesn’t agree, they can suggest different times. But if your friends are meebee users, then meebee himself will suggest available meeting times, that you all can attend.

No, if you don’t want to go to a meeting, then you can Deny a meeting request. Just press the Deny button on your bee-mail (and if you want you can write in the text box why you can’t make it).

In Settings, you have 4 sub-groups:

Account Settings: here you can change things to do with your account i.e. change your password, the email address you mainly use or the calendar meebee is synced with.

Personal Information Settings: here you can update any of your own personal info like your birthday, the songs you like, even where you to went to school. Anything at all really that you want your friends to know about you. Also here you can upload your profile picture.

Privacy Settings: here you can decide WHO sees your calendar information. You can also decide WHAT information your friends can see about your meetings.
Presently, your friends can NOT see your calendar information at all. This feature will be available soon.

Notification Settings: here you decide if proposed meetings are confirmed automatically or you are still sent a confirmation bee-mail.

Well, meebee is based on making your life easier. Just like a real life Personal Assistant, you have to share some personal information with them, so they can help you out better. For meebee, this information is just your calendar and your contacts from your email account. With this info, meebee can go to work making arranging meetings easy for you.

If you don’t want to join meebee, that’s ok too. There is NO need to sign up...yet; You can still use the service and meebee will still work and arrange meetings for you easily. However meebee won’t be able to save your friends contact details, nor save your calendar info. You will have to enter this information every time you use meebee. When you will use meebee more often you'll find out that the more functionality you give to meebee, the more meebee can do for you!
